Morgaine LeFaye is my chosen name. The name is based on a character from Arthurian legends, which in return is based on sources that go back even further in time. In ancient Celtic stories she was Morrigan, Morigu, Morgan, Morrighan, ... She was the patroness of priestesses and witches, associated with ravens and crows, rivers and lakes, revenge, the night, magic and predictions. She was Goddess of the Sea, a Moon Goddess and an important Fate Goddess. She often was presented as the threefold Goddess Morrigan, Macha and Bodbh.
